Farrell Furniture recently completed work on their most challenging London project to date, and this was the design, manufacture and installation of high specification bedroom furniture to the new Kings College London, Champion Hill student village.
The new buildings are organised to form three distinct courtyard spaces, each with their own character and identity. The accommodation is provided as en –suite study bedrooms in a cluster flat format with students sharing common kitchen, dining and living spaces. In addition to the new build project, we were also commissioned to provide a bespoke solution to the “Platanes” building a Grade 2 listed period property which forms the central hub of the Student Village.
The bedroom furniture design was based upon the Farrell Equinox range of heavy duty high gloss white modular fitted bedroom furniture contrasted with a stunning new American high pressure laminate Serene Stardom from Nevemar.
Manufactured to an extremely high standard, all laminates were bonded onto an MDF core in our state-of-the-art factory. The designs include extensive shelving, generous wardrobe space, and a large double bed with pull out drawers, integrated lighting and a removable padded headboard.
Farrell Furniture was appointed to manufacture and install the bedroom furniture over a very intense and challenging period. Employing over 40 installation operatives at peak delivery and installation periods, the project was completed on time and on budget by the Farrell team based in Ireland and North Yorkshire.
